Patient-reported outcome and survival following meniscal allograft transplantation : an international case series.

Aims: Meniscal allograft transplantation (MAT) for patients with symptomatic meniscal loss has demonstrated good clinical results and survivorship. Factors that affect both functional outcome and survivorship have been reported in the literature. These are typically single-centre case series with relatively small numbers and conflicting results.

Introduction: Realignment knee osteotomy relies on accurate preoperative assessment of coronal alignment. Weightbearing (WB) 'long-leg' (LL) radiographs are the accepted gold-standard investigation, though in practice standard knee radiographs (short leg; SL) and non-weightbearing (NWB) cross-sectional imaging such as computed tomography (CT) scanograms have been used. We compare the accuracy of SL and NWB radiographs to formal LL alignment radiographs.

Diabetic patients are almost twice as likely to experience complications from arthroscopic rotator cuff repair.

Aims: Large population-based studies have demonstrated increased prevalence of rotator cuff disease amongst diabetics. Recent studies have suggested comparable clinical outcomes from rotator cuff repair despite suggestions of increased complication rates amongst diabetics. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the accuracy, safety, and survival of distal femoral osteotomy (DFO) surgery for lateral compartment OA of the knee.

Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted at a single UK centre, using prospectively collected data over an 8-year period (2009-2017). All patients had pre-operative radiographic analysis and digital planning of their deformity correction in addition to post-operative analysis of the achieved correction and yearly face-to-face follow-up.
