Background: Middle segment-preserving pancreatectomy (MSPP) is an alternative to total pancreatectomy that allows for the preservation of the endocrine and exocrine functions of the pancreas. However, maintaining perfusion to the pancreatic remnant is of critical importance. We describe the first case to our knowledge in which indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence was used to confirm perfusion to the pancreatic remnant during MSPP.

Olfactory neuroblastoma (ONB) is a relatively rare nasal or paranasal malignant tumor. This tumor is rarely accompanied by paraneoplastic syndromes such as syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion (SIADH). Here, we report a 31-year-old female with histologically confirmed ONB who had been diagnosed with SIADH three years prior.

Conclusions: The feelings of dizziness and unsteadiness of the patients with fibromyalgia supposed specifically amplified by the hypersensitivity mechanism of CSS (central sensitivity syndrome) of them. The severity of subjective pain and physical distress according to the questionnaires were not correlated with the objective body sway on the stabilometer.

Objectives: Fibromyalgia manifests primarily as chronic pain of the entire body, but is also often associated with a variety of physical symptoms including dizziness and unsteadiness.
