In this manuscript we present a strategy to achieve ultranarrowband circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) from multiple 1,4-azaborine-embedded helical nanographenes. The impact of number and position of boron and nitrogen atoms in the rigid core of the molecule on optical properties─including absorption and emission maxima, photoluminescence quantum yield, Stokes shift, excited singlet-triplet energy gap and full width at half-maximum (fwhm) for CPL and fluorescence─was investigated. In this communication we describe a helically chiral push-pull molecule named 9,10-dimethoxy-[7]helicene diimide, displaying fluorescence (FL) and circularly polarised luminescence (CPL) over nearly the entire visible spectrum dependent on solvent polarity. The synthesised molecule exhibits an unusual solvent polarity dependence of FL quantum yield and nonradiative rate constant, as well as remarkable and values along with high configurational stability.

The interactions between auxochromic groups in π-conjugated functional molecules dictate their electronic properties. Endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) can induce abnormalities in organisms via alteration of molecular pathways and subsequent disruption of endocrine functions. Bisphenol A (BPA) and 17α-ethinylestradiol (EE2) are ubiquitous EDCs in the environment. To improve and focus preclinical testing, we combine tumor models based on a decellularized tissue matrix with bioinformatics to stratify tumors according to stage-specific mutations that are linked to central cancer pathways. We generated tissue models with -mutant colorectal cancer (CRC) cells (HROC24 and HROC87) and compared treatment responses to two-dimensional (2D) cultures and xenografts. As the BRAF inhibitor vemurafenib is-in contrast to melanoma-not effective in CRC, we combined it with the EGFR inhibitor gefitinib.
