This paper presents a novel end-to-end architecture based on edge detection for autonomous driving. The architecture has been designed to bridge the domain gap between synthetic and real-world images for end-to-end autonomous driving applications and includes custom edge detection layers before the Efficient Net convolutional module. To train the architecture, RGB and depth images were used together with inertial data as inputs to predict the driving speed and steering wheel angle.

Article Synopsis
  • Despite clinical guidelines recommending lower use of central venous catheters (CVC), the prevalence remains high among patients undergoing hemodialysis, leading researchers to explore whether this is due to unavoidable circumstances or factors that can be addressed.
  • A study involving 637 chronic hemodialysis patients from various centers in Spain sought to identify modifiable factors influencing CVC use, comparing demographics, vascular access types, and reasons patients had for not using arteriovenous fistulas (AVF).
  • Results showed that 40% of the patients utilized CVCs, with major reasons for CVC use including patient refusal for surgery (often due to fear) and having initiated hemodialysis with a CVC, indicating that

The development of autonomous vehicles is becoming increasingly popular and gathering real-world data is considered a valuable task. Many datasets have been published recently in the autonomous vehicle sector, with synthetic datasets gaining particular interest due to availability and cost. For a real implementation and correct evaluation of vehicles at higher levels of autonomy, it is also necessary to consider human interaction, which is precisely something that lacks in existing datasets.
