Pan-KRAS inhibitors BI-2493 and BI-2865 display potent anti-tumor activity in tumors with KRAS wild-type allele amplification.

KRASG12C selective inhibitors, such as sotorasib and adagrasib, have raised hopes of targeting other KRAS mutant alleles in cancer patients. We report that KRAS wild-type amplified tumor models are sensitive to treatment with the small molecule KRAS inhibitors BI-2493 and BI-2865. These pan-KRAS inhibitors directly target the "OFF" state of KRAS and result in potent anti-tumor activity in pre-clinical models of cancers driven by KRAS mutant proteins.

Expression Analysis of Circulating microRNAs in Saliva and Plasma for the Identification of Clinically Relevant Biomarkers for Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma and Oral Potentially Malignant Disorders.

This study aims to evaluate the expression of salivary and plasmatic miRNAs as diagnostic biomarkers in patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMDs). A total of 25 patients were divided into three groups, according to their diagnosis: OSCC patients ( = 14); OPMDs patients ( = 6); and healthy controls ( = 5). At the time at diagnosis/enrolment, patients underwent salivary and plasmatic collection.

COVID-19 and Oral Mucosal Lesions: a Systematic Review.

Introduction: COVID-19 disease is caused by a mutated strain of the coronavirus family "SARS-CoV-2". It affects especially the respiratory system, but many clinical manifestations outside this system have been reported. Oral manifestations are uncommon, however, with the absence of common signs, they may represent the onset of COVID-19 disease.

SEM Evaluation of Thermal Effects Produced by a 445 nm Laser on Implant Surfaces.

The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate thermal effects on implant surfaces using a 445 nm diode laser (Eltech K-Laser Srl, Treviso, Italy) with different power settings and irradiation modalities. Fifteen new implants (Straumann, Basel, Switzerland) were irradiated to evaluate surface alteration. Each implant was divided into two zones: the anterior and posterior areas.

Can computer-guided surgery help orthodontics in miniscrew insertion and corticotomies? A narrative review.

Orthodontics has considerably increased the use of technology combined with surgery as a tool to improve dental movements in terms of predictability, acceleration of movement, and fewer side effects. To achieve these goals miniscrews and corticotomy were introduced. The digital workflow permits an increase in the accuracy of surgical and orthodontic setups.
