This study aimed to explore the diuretic activity of linalyl acetate (LA). LA is an essential oil, it is an integral phyto-constituent of various plants. In this study, acute and chronic diuretic activities were explored by measuring the levels of different electrolytes and pH in the urine of experimental rats.

Introduction: The use of alloplastic total temporomandibular joint reconstruction (TMJR) in growing patients is controversial, mainly due to immature elements of the craniomaxillofacial skeleton. The aim of this systematic review was to evaluate the use of alloplastic TMJR in growing patients, focusing on the patient's clinical presentation, surgical and medical history and efficacy of alloplastic TMJR implantation.

Materials And Methods: The literature search strategy was based on the Population, Intervention, Comparator, Outcomes and Study type (PICOS) framework.

Ovarian cancer is a highly prevalent malignancy among women and affects a significant population worldwide. Different forms of hormonal treatments or chemotherapies are used to treat ovarian cancer, but the possible side effects, including menopausal symptoms, can be severe, forcing some patients to prematurely stop the treatment. The emerging genome editing technology, known as clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)-caspase 9 (Cas9), has the potential to treat ovarian cancer via gene editing strategies.

Article Synopsis
  • High temperature poses a significant abiotic stress to plants, threatening crop production and food security.
  • Plants have developed various strategies to cope with heat stress, including the formation of biomolecular condensates through liquid-liquid phase separation.
  • This review explores the composition, location, and functions of these condensates in response to heat, and discusses the potential of bioinformatics in predicting heat-induced condensates, highlighting the need for further research in this emerging field.
