The complex network governing self-renewal in epidermal stem cells (EPSCs) is only partially defined. FOXM1 is one of the main players in this network, but the upstream signals regulating its activity remain to be elucidated. In this study, we identify cyclin-dependent kinase 1 (CDK1) as the principal kinase controlling FOXM1 activity in human primary keratinocytes.

Methods: Patients with biopsy-proven LN (International Society of Nephrology/Renal Pathology Society 2003) who had undergone a second kidney biopsy between January 1990 and December 2018 were included. Clinical and histological findings at first and at second biopsy were analysed with Cox proportional hazard models to predict ESKD, defined as start of kidney replacement therapy.
Objectives: Short-term predictive endpoints of chronic kidney disease (CKD) are needed in lupus nephritis (LN). We tested response to therapy at 1 year.
Methods: We considered patients with LN who underwent renal biopsy followed by induction therapy between January 1970 and December 2016.
Background: The glenohumeral joint is the most mobile articulation in the body and the most commonly dislocated diarthrodial joint with peaks in the incidence of dislocation occurring during the second and sixth decades. Age at the time of the initial dislocation is inversely related to the recurrence rate. Traumatic anterior instability is often associated with intraarticular injuries.
