Although it is well known that a successful implementation depends on the front-liners' knowledge and participation, as well as on the organizational capacity of the institutions involved, we still know little about how front-line health workers have been involved in the implementation of the Brazilian National Program for Improving Access and Quality to Primary Care (PMAQ). This paper develops a contingent mixed-method approach to explore the perceptions of front-line health workers - managers, nurses, community health workers, and doctors - regarding the PMAQ (2nd round), and their evaluations concerning health unit organizational capacity. The research is guided by three relevant inter-related concepts from implementation theory: policy knowledge, participation, and organizational capacity.

We examined the impact of an antimicrobial formulary change, based on reduction in third-generation cephalosporin use, on resistant gram-negative pathogens in a tertiary hospital. Otherwise, there was a significant decrease in rate of extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL)-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae (63.

This paper proposes a solid-phase microextraction (SPME) method for the passive sampling and determination of N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMA) and N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) in air by capillary GC with flame ionization detection. The optimized conditions for SPME method were grab sampling, polydimethylsiloxane/divinylbenzene fiber, extraction for 90 min at 25 +/- 2 degrees C, desorption for 3 min at 220 degrees C, and relative humidity 45 +/- 2%. Under these conditions, the method presented good linearity (R = 0.
