Stroke is the leading cause of seizures and epilepsy in adults; however, current guidelines lack robust recommendations for treating post-stroke seizures (PSSs) and epilepsy (PSE). This study aims to demonstrate the long-term safety and efficacy of lacosamide combined with non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants (NOACs) in patients with PSE and atrial fibrillation (AF). In this prospective longitudinal single-center study, 53 patients with concomitant PSE and AF, admitted between 2022 and 2023, received NOACs for AF management and lacosamide for seizure control.

In order to raise the suspicion for diagnosis, the knowledge of two different neuroradiological issues is needed, i.e.

Among the first ones, post-infectious CNS vasculitides represent a relevant topic and they are often underdiagnosed.
Aims: The main aim of this review is to summarize the clinical and neuroimaging features of post-infectious vasculitides, highlighting the diagnostic clues and the need to carefully consider them in the differential diagnosis of PACNS.
Aim: To investigate the optimum antiplatelet therapy regimen (APTR) for emergent carotid artery stenting following mechanical thrombectomy (MT) in stroke patients with tandem occlusion.
Methods: A literature search was performed on Pubmed/OVID/Cochran's CENTRAL database for studies from 2015 to 2022. Patient characteristics, antiplatelet regimen type, mTICI, 90 days-mRS, acute in-stent thrombosis (AIST), mortality, intracranial hemorrhage (ICH), and sample size were recorded.
