Objective: Microvascular decompression (MVD) in trigeminal neuralgia (TN) is currently managed using an operating microscope (OM). Recent experiences with endoscopy-assisted, fully endoscopic, and exoscopic surgery have been described, aiming to improve ergonomics and image quality. The aim of this study was to report the first series of patients operated on with the aid of a robotic binocular exoscope using a head-mounted display (RoboticScope).

Free fatty acid receptor 1 (FFAR1) has emerged as the most targeted isoform of the free fatty acid receptors because of its involvement in the modulation of energy balance and its potential role in the control of inflammatory and pain conditions. Quercetin-3-oleate (AV2), recognized as a new FFAR1 partial agonist, was investigated for its ability to modulate inflammation and nociception. Human immortal neuroblastoma SH and the murine macrophagic RAW 264.

This study presents a case of repeated prosthetic fractures in a modular hip prosthesis in a 56-year-old male patient. After the initial implantation of a modular total hip prosthesis in 2006, the patient experienced two instances of prosthetic implant fractures over seventeen years. In this study, we analyze the clinical case, explore potential underlying causes of this complication, and delve into current indications and strategies for the revision of fractured prosthesis stems.

Gliomas present a complex challenge in neuro-oncology, often accompanied by the debilitating complication of epilepsy. Understanding the biological interaction and common pathways between gliomagenesis and epileptogenesis is crucial for improving the current understanding of tumorigenesis and also for developing effective management strategies. Shared genetic and molecular mechanisms, such as IDH mutations and dysregulated glutamate signaling, contribute to both tumor progression and seizure development.
