Osteochondral injuries in the knee are uncommon in the immature skeleton and are usually related to sporting activities. Fixation is required depending on the size and location of the fragment. The standard technique is open reduction and internal fixation with metal screws, which are removed in a second procedure after consolidation.

Background: Kombucha, a fermented beverage obtained from a Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast, has shown potential in modulating gut microbiota, although no clinical trials have been done.

Objectives: We aimed to evaluate the effects of regular black tea kombucha consumption on intestinal health in individuals with and without obesity.

Methods: A pre-post clinical intervention study was conducted lasting 8 wk.

Statistics of diffusion, modeled by random walks, such as the mean number of distinct sites visited S(t) at time t, the mean probability P_{0}(t) of being at the origin of the walk, and the mean-squared displacements 〈R^{2}(t)〉 of the random walkers have been studied extensively in the past in both regular lattices and such disordered media as percolation clusters and other fractal structures, and universal power laws for such quantities have been derived. S(t) provides insight into reaction properties of geological formations, while P_{0}(t) is directly linked with the problem of back diffusion in remediation of groundwater aquifers. In all such studies, it was assumed that the conductances of the bonds that connect nearest-neighbor sites of the lattices are equal.

The emergence of long-range (LoRa) technology, together with the expansion of uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) use in civil applications have brought significant advances to the Internet of Things (IoT) field. In this way, these technologies are used together in different scenarios, especially when it is necessary to have connectivity in remote and difficult-to-access locations, providing coverage and monitoring of greater areas. In this sense, this article seeks to determine the best positioning for the LoRa gateway coupled to the drone and the optimal spreading factor (SF) for signal transmission in a LoRa network, aiming to improve the connected devices (SNR), considering a suburban and densely wooded environment.

This study aimed to test for an association between hair cortisol, as an indicator of chronic stress, and possible sleep bruxism among children participating in the 2015 Pelotas Birth Cohort Study. Data from 3229 children were analysed. Possible sleep bruxism was identified based on caregivers' reports when the child was 4 years old.
