Flexible sensors mimic the sensing ability of human skin, and have unique flexibility and adaptability, allowing users to interact with intelligent systems in a more natural and intimate way. To overcome the issues of low sensitivity and limited operating range of flexible strain sensors, this study presents a highly innovative preparation method to develop a conductive elastomeric sensor with a cracked thin film by combining polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) with multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MCNT). This novel design significantly increases both the sensitivity and operating range of the sensor (strain range 0-50%; the maximum tensile sensitivity of this sensor reaches 4.

The engraftment of haematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs), particularly in cord-blood transplants, remains challenging. Here we report the role of the corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) in enhancing the homing and engraftment of human-cord-blood HSPCs in bone marrow through mechanical remodelling. By using microfluidics, intravital two-photon imaging and long-term-engraftment assays, we show that treatment with CRH substantially enhances HSPC adhesion, motility and mechanical remodelling, ultimately leading to improved bone-marrow homing and engraftment in immunodeficient mice.

Flexible sensing materials have become a hot topic due to their sensitive electrical response to external force or temperature and their promising applications in flexible wear and human-machine interaction. In this study, a PDMS/capillary GaInSn flexible sensing material with high force and thermal sensitivity was prepared utilizing liquid metal (LM, GaInSn), flexible silicone capillary, and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). Methods: In total, 720 patients with PCOS undergoing IVF were enrolled in this retrospective study from January 2017 to December 2022. The oocyte retrieval rate (ORR) was defined as the ratio of the number of oocytes retrieved to the number of follicles ≥ 12 mm in diameter on the trigger day.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) recently gained immense popularity for the adsorption of organic impurities. In this work, the adsorptive separation of bisphenol A (BPA) from aqueous mixtures was explored utilizing three types of zirconium-based MOFs, namely MOF-808, UiO-66, and hierarchically porous UiO-66 (HP-UiO-66). The HP-UiO-66, which was etched by sodium acetate as the terminal ligand, generated large mesopores ranging from 40 to 300 Å due to the departure of partial linkers and metallic clusters.
