Nectin-4 is a tumor antigen present on the surface of breast, ovarian and lung carcinoma cells. It is rarely present in normal adult tissues and is therefore a candidate target for cancer immunotherapy. Here, we identified a Nectin-4 antigenic peptide that is naturally presented to T cells by HLA-A2 molecules.

A broad expression among other immune cells was later found in myeloid and lymphoid cells. However, data on DAP12 expression pattern rely only on immunoblot and microarray analysis.

In the latter measurements, fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) between fluorescently labeled reactants was used. Thermodynamic data derived from surface plasmon resonance measurements suggest that the complex formation is driven by both favorable enthalpy and entropy.

The high-affinity interaction between the TCR and the K(b)-associated endogenous peptide pBM1 (INFDFNTI) induced a complete differentiation program into effector cells correlated with sustained ERK activation.
