Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate 3-year efficacy of orthokeratology lenses (OKL) in controlling axial length progression in myopic Scandinavian children. Through a cross-over design of the control group to compare the treatment efficacy in younger versus older children, with the latter having higher cycloplegic spherical refractive error (cSEQ) at treatment initiation. Further, the study aimed to evaluate the safety of the treatment.

Resource supply and intraspecific variation in inducible defense determine predator-prey interactions in an intraguild predation food web.

This study investigated the dynamics of reciprocal phenotypic plasticity entailing inducible defense and offense in freshwater ciliate communities in response to altered resource supply and the extent of intraspecific trait variation. Communities consisted of Euplotes octocarinatus (intraguild prey) capable of inducible defense to escape predation, Stylonychia mytilus (intraguild predator) capable of inducible offense to expand its prey spectrum, and Cryptomonas sp. (algal resource).

High-resolution epidemiological landscape from ~290,000 SARS-CoV-2 genomes from Denmark.

Vast amounts of pathogen genomic, demographic and spatial data are transforming our understanding of SARS-CoV-2 emergence and spread. We examined the drivers of molecular evolution and spread of 291,791 SARS-CoV-2 genomes from Denmark in 2021. With a sequencing rate consistently exceeding 60%, and up to 80% of PCR-positive samples between March and November, the viral genome set is broadly whole-epidemic representative.
