White striping (WS) is an anomaly characterized by the appearance of white striations in the Pectoralis major muscles. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of animal fat replacement (chicken skin) with hydrolyzed collagen (HC, 0, 50 and 75%) on the characteristics of burgers with normal chicken breast fillets (FN) and WS. The samples were subjected to physical-chemical characterization, oxidative stability (TBARS), texture, and sensory profile.

We present a novel two-dimensional (2D) boron nitride allotrope, Irida- (Ir-BN), analogous to the all-carbon Irida-Graphene (Ir-G). The predicted structure of Ir-BN consists of alternating boron and nitrogen atoms, forming three distinct lattices with 3-, 6-, and 8-membered ring patterns. First-principles calculations based on density functional theory (DFT) formalism and ab initio molecular dynamics (AIMD) simulations were performed to investigate its structural, mechanical, electronic, and optical properties.

Summary: APAtizer is a tool designed to analyze alternative polyadenylation events on RNA-sequencing data. The tool handles different file formats, including BAM, htseq, and DaPars bedGraph files. It provides a user-friendly interface that allows users to generate informative visualizations, including Volcano plots, heatmaps, and gene lists.
