Tiapride, which belongs to the anisamide family, has an anti-dopaminergic effect, mainly on the mesolimbic system but also directly at the vascular level. A controlled trial was performed in 25 patients suffering from intractable migraine or facial vascular pain. Results were excellent in ten cases.
