Background: Endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) and the unfolded protein response (UPR) are adaptive mechanisms for conditions of high protein demand, marked by an accumulation of misfolded proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). Rheumatic autoimmune diseases (RAD) are known to be associated with chronic inflammation and an ERS state. However, the activation of UPR signaling pathways is not completely understood in Sjögren's disease (SD).

Purpose: Schistosomiasis remains a parasitic disease affecting millions of people worldwide, requiring interventions like vaccination. In previous work, our group used reverse vaccinology to identify two epitopes from the Schistosoma mansoni proteins, Sm050890 (44-58) and Sm141290 (225-239). This study evaluated the immune response profile and protection induced by peptides, as a mixture of immunogens, in murine vaccination trials.

To this end, C57BL/6 mice were separated into three groups: G1: uninfected; G2: negative control infected with Heligmosomoides polygyrus bakeri and administered with 3% dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO); and G3: infected with H. polygyrus bakeri and treated with C.

Introduction: Anthropometric, demographic, genetic, and clinical features may affect cognitive, behavioral, and functional decline, while clinical trials seldom consider minimal clinically important differences (MCIDs) in their analyses.
Methods: MCIDs were reviewed taking into account features that may affect cognitive, behavioral, or functional decline in clinical trials of new disease-modifying therapies.
Results: The higher the number of comparisons of different confounders in statistical analyses, the lower values will be significant.

Environmental factors, largely influenced by human behavior, account for approximately 80% of malignant tumors. This study aimed to investigate potential risk factors for NHL in dogs residing in the district of Porto, Portugal.
