Networks of coupled oscillators have far-reaching implications across various fields, providing insights into a plethora of dynamics. This review offers an in-depth overview of computing with oscillators covering computational capability, synchronization occurrence and mathematical formalism. We discuss numerous circuit design implementations, technology choices and applications from pattern retrieval, combinatorial optimization problems to machine learning algorithms.

Predicting crop yields, and especially anomalously low yields, is of special importance for food insecure countries. In this study, we investigate a flexible deep learning approach to forecast crop yield at the provincial administrative level based on deep 1D and 2D convolutional neural networks using limited data. This approach meets the operational requirements-public and global records of satellite data in an application ready format with near real time updates-and can be transferred to any country with reliable yield statistics.

Background: It is unknown whether race- or insurance-based disparities in health care exist regarding baseline knee pain, knee function, complete meniscal tear, or articular cartilage damage in patients who undergo anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR).

Hypothesis: Black patients and patients with Medicaid evaluated for ACLR would have worse baseline knee pain, worse knee function, and greater odds of having a complete meniscal tear.

Study Design: Cross-sectional study; Level of evidence, 3.

Large-scale land cover classification from satellite imagery is still a challenge due to the big volume of data to be processed, to persistent cloud-cover in cloud-prone areas as well as seasonal artefacts that affect spatial homogeneity. Sentinel-2 times series from Copernicus Earth Observation program offer a great potential for fine scale land cover mapping thanks to high spatial and temporal resolutions, with a decametric resolution and five-day repeat time. However, the selection of best available scenes, their download together with the requirements in terms of storage and computing resources pose restrictions for large-scale land cover mapping.
