Only three species of the Atatina genus had been reported, both living distant one of another in the Amazon. Here we reported two new species for the genus living in remnant forest of the Gurupi Biological Reserve. Atatina arimikuriaka sp.

Four new species and new records of Macrostomus Wiedemann (Diptera: Empididae) from Northern and Northeastern Regions of Brazil.

Macrostomus Wiedemann is recorded for the first time in the Cerrado Biome and also from the state of Maranhão, Brazil. The following species are treated here: Macrostomus maranhensis sp. nov.

The Psychodidae (Diptera) of Fernando de Noronha, Brazil, with a records overview of volcanic islands fauna.

The family Psychodidae (Diptera) is recorded for the oceanic archipelago of Fernando de Noronha, represented by two genera and three species: Clogmia albipunctata Williston, Psychoda buxoides Quate, P. savaiiensis Edwards, as well as an undetermined species belonging to the tribe Pericomaini. The fauna of Psychodidae in Fernando de Noronha is remarkably inferior to the Brazilian continental fauna, including species known as cosmopolitan due to the introduction into the most varied environments by human action.

Lopesiodinia alvarengai Prado, 1973 (Odiniidae: Traginopinae) with the first description of the male and the neotype designation.

The type specimen of Lopesiodinia alvarengai Prado is lost. It is being redescribed and illustrated based on specimens from the type locality (Jacareacanga, Par, Brazil) and the neotype is here designated with the purpose of clarifying the taxonomic status and objectively securing stability of nomenclature.

For the first time, Clusiidae (Diptera) species are recorded from the oceanic Archipelago Fernando de Noronha, Brazil. They are represented by three genera and seven species: Czernyola fumialula sp. nov.
