Spatial transcriptomics reveals substantial heterogeneity in triple-negative breast cancer with potential clinical implications.

While triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is known to be heterogeneous at the genomic and transcriptomic levels, spatial information on tumor organization and cell composition is still lacking. Here, we investigate TNBC tumor architecture including its microenvironment using spatial transcriptomics on a series of 92 patients. We perform an in-depth characterization of tumor and stroma organization and composition using an integrative approach combining histomorphological and spatial transcriptomics.

Aspergillus fumigatus Postoperative Fasciitis and Peritonitis.

A 67 year-old male was admitted in the ICU because of multi-organ failure due to sepsis secondary to Fournier's gangrene. He had sustained radical prostatectomy in the last 48 hours. Peritoneal fluid and fatty tissue biopsies grew Aspergillus Fumigatus without concomitant pulmonary involvement.

[Urinary cytology for the detection of urothelial lesions].

Urine cytology is a long-used technique for the detection of high grade neoplastic urothelial lesions. Since 2016, «The Paris System» classification has revolutionized this field by introducing a standardized terminology widely adopted by cytopathologists and urologists. In this article, we explain this classification and discuss its impact on the clinical management of patients with urothelial lesions, as well as its role in the secondary prevention of these lesions.

and brain abscess in an immunocompetent patient: case report.

Introduction: Brain abscess is the most common focal infectious neurological injury. Until the nineteenth century this condition was fatal, however the development of neuroimaging for early diagnosis, neurosurgery and antibiotic therapy in the twentieth century has led to new therapeutic strategies decreasing mortality from 50 % in the 1970s to less than 10 % nowadays. In this context we report a case of brain abscess with a dental origin.

Polypoid colon mucosa in a leukemia patient.

A woman, followed for chronic myeloid leukaemia, presented for a routine examination. Her medical history was marked by recurrent Helicobacter pylori gastritis and polymyalgica rheumatica. She was under dasatinib and hormone replacement therapy.
