Postpartum thromboprophylaxis with enoxaparin: a prospective cohort study on patients' adherence, injection experience, and information retention after counselling by pharmacists.

Objectives: This research aimed to determine postpartum females' self-reported adherence to and experience with short-term thromboprophylaxis using enoxaparin injection, after counselling by pharmacists. It also sought to assess their knowledge of thromboprophylaxis, injection techniques, and confidence in self-injecting.

Methods: This prospective cohort study was conducted at a public tertiary hospital in Malaysia from March to June 2023.

Challenge Level Contributes to the Efficacy of Treadmill Interventions after Stroke: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

Intervention parameters such as the challenge, amount, and dosage (challenge × amount) have the potential to alter the efficacy of rehabilitation interventions after stroke. This systematic review investigated the effect of intervention parameters of challenge, amount, and dosage on improvements in walking outcomes following treadmill training (TT) and comparison interventions in people with stroke. Randomized controlled trials were included if they: (i) investigated interventions of TT or bodyweight-supported TT (BWSTT); (ii) made comparisons with other physiotherapy interventions, other types of TT, or no intervention; (iii) studied people with stroke; (iv) reported sufficient data on challenge and amount parameters; and (v) measured walking speed or endurance.

Study of gamma radiation shielding on tellurite glass containing TiO and AlO nanoparticles.

Radiation shielding incorporates material between the radioactive source and environment to decrease exposure to hazardous radiation. It remains to be seen whether the addition of nanoparticles effectively increases the protection of tellurite glass system from further degradation under irradiation conditions. This study revealed the gamma radiation effects on tellurite glass.

Methods of optical spectroscopy in detection of virus in infected samples: A review.

Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic that occurred worldwide since 2020, scientists and researchers have been studying methods to detect the presence of the virus causing COVID-19 disease, namely SARS-CoV-2. Optical spectroscopy is a method that employs the interaction of light in detecting virus on samples. It is a promising method that might help in detecting the presence of SARS-CoV-2 in samples.
