Objective: Prostate cancer (PCa) is a complex disease characterized by diverse cellular ecosystems within the tumor microenvironment (TME) and high tumor heterogeneity, which challenges clinically stratified management and reinforces the need for novel strategies to fight against castration-resistant PCa (CRPC).

Methods: We performed single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) on 10 untreated primary PCa tissues and integrated public scRNA-seq resources from three normal prostate tissues, two untreated primary PCa tissues, and six CRPC tumors to portray a comprehensive cellular and molecular interaction atlas of PCa. We further integrated the single-cell and bulk transcriptomes of PCa to establish a molecular classification system.

This study explores the potential of artificial microbial consortia to enhance rapeseed meal nutritional value. A novel four-species microbial consortium consisting of Bacillus subtilis, Lactobacillus plantarum and two screened glucosinolates-degradation strains Erwinia tasmaniensis and Enterococcus gallinarum was constructed for nutritional value improvement in rapeseed meal. Results demonstrated significant reductions in the concentrations of glucosinolates (86.

Colorectal carcinoma (CRC) is a deadly cancer with an aggressive nature, and how CRC tumor cells manage to translocate and proliferate in a new tissue environment remains not fully understood. Recently, higher-order chromatin structures and spatial genome organization are increasingly implicated in diseases including cancer, but in-depth studies of three-dimensional genome (3D genome) of metastatic cancer are currently lacking, preventing the understanding of the roles of genome organization during metastasis. Here we perform multi-omics profiling of matched normal colon, primary tumor, lymph node metastasis, liver metastasis and normal liver tissue from CRC patients using Hi-C, ATAC-seq and RNA-seq technologies.

The biofilm matrix primarily consists of proteins, exopolysaccharides, and extracellular DNA. Pseudomonas aeruginosa aminopeptidase is one of the most abundant matrix proteins in P. aeruginosa biofilms and plays a crucial role in modulating biofilm development.
