Background: Most of the Fractional exhaled Nitric Oxide (FeNO)'s physiological production occurs in small airways, but the relationship between FeNO and small airway disease (SAD) in asthma is scant.
Objective: To investigate the relationship between asthma control, changes of FeNO in relation to airway bronchodilation (BD), and SAD.
Methods: Baseline conventional spirometry, impulse oscillometry (IOS), and FeNO pre- and post-bronchodilation (salbutamol 400 mcg) were tested on consecutive community-treated adult asthmatic patients.
Phase-contrast micro-tomography ([Formula: see text]CT) with synchrotron radiation can aid in the differentiation of subtle density variations in weakly absorbing soft tissue specimens. Modulation-based imaging (MBI) extracts phase information from the distortion of reference patterns, generated by periodic or randomly structured wavefront markers (e.g.

Methods: Population-based retrospective cohort study based on healthcare utilization databases of the Italian region of Lombardy. The cohort included all nonagenarians hospitalized for AS between 2017 and 2021, who underwent TAVI within 90 days from first diagnosis or conservative treatment.
Introduction: Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a common urological disease that is strongly associated with the aging process and can lead to lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). LUTS due to BPH can significantly affect the quality of life of many patients. Among the treatments available for BPH to improve symptoms and functional outcomes, drug therapy and surgical therapy are the options of choice.
