To determine the diagnostic performance of dual-energy CT (DECT) virtual noncalcium (VNCa) technique in the detection of bone marrow lesions (BMLs) in knee osteoarthritis, and further analyze the correlation between the severity of BMLs on VNCa image and the degree of knee pain. 23 consecutive patients with clinically diagnosed knee osteoarthritis were underwent DECT and 3.0T MRI between August 2017 and November 2018.

Autoimmune autonomic ganglionopathy (AAG) is a rare and acquired immune-mediated disease that leads to wide autonomic failure, mainly characterized by orthostatic hypotension, gastrointestinal dysfunction, anhidrosis and poorly reactive pupils. This disorder is usually associated with autoantibodies to the ganglionic nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (gAChR-Ab). In this study, we describe a case of a gAChR-Ab-positive AAG patient with two therapeutic stages.

With the widespread use of lidocaine for pain control in cancer therapy, its antitumor activity has attracted considerable attention in recent years. This paper provides a simple strategy of combining lidocaine with chemotherapy drugs for cancer therapy, aiming to relieve chemotherapy-induced pain and achieve stronger antitumor efficacy. However, there is still a lack of substantial pre-clinical evidence for the efficacy and related mechanisms of such combinations, obstructing their potential clinical application.

Photosynthesis, which is the foundation of crop growth and development, is accompanied by complex transcriptional regulatory mechanisms. Research has established that brassinosteroids (BRs) play a role in regulating plant photosynthesis, with the majority of research focusing on the physiological level and regulation of rate-limiting enzymes in the dark reactions of photosynthesis. However, studies on their effects on maize photosynthesis, specifically on light-harvesting antenna proteins, have yet to be conducted.
