Background: Migraine is poorly managed in primary care despite a high level of morbidity. The majority of sufferers use non-prescription medications and are reluctant to seek help but the reasons for this are not understood.
Aim: The aim of this study was to develop a research partnership between migraine sufferers and healthcare professionals to synthesise tacit and explicit knowledge in the area.

The ability of d-amphetamine and ethanol to alter discriminative stimulus control by pentobarbital was examined in pigeons. Saline and pentobarbital (5.6 mg/kg) were established as discriminative stimuli for food-maintained responding in six birds.

Study goals are to achieve reductions in cardiovascular disease risk factors and morbidity and mortality in three education communities compared with three reference communities. The program in the first of the three intervention communities, Mankato, has been operating for 3 of the planned 5 years.
