Incidence and Risk Factors for Concurrent Syndromic Diagnosis in Presumed Idiopathic Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip.

Background: Infants referred for developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) may have a previously unidentified concomitant diagnosis of syndromic pathology. Our purpose was to examine the incidence of syndromic pathology in infants referred to a tertiary center with presumed idiopathic DDH and identify risk factors and difference in treatment courses between idiopathic and nonidiopathic cohorts.

Methods: A retrospective analysis of a prospective cohort of infants younger than 3 years who were evaluated for DDH between 2008 and 2013 with a minimum 2-year follow-up.

The Role of MRI in Children With Congenital Limb Deficiencies With Associated Scoliosis.

Background: The association of scoliosis and congenital limb deficiency has been well described. However, the incidence of neural axis abnormalities in this population is not known. The ability to assess the neural axis by physical examination may be limited in patients with a limb deficiency.

Percutaneous heel cord release for clubfoot: a retrospective, multicentre cost analysis.

Purpose: The Ponseti method of treatment is the standard of care for idiopathic clubfoot. Following serial casting, percutaneous tendo-Achilles tenotomy (TAT) is performed to correct residual equinus. This procedure can be performed in either the outpatient clinic or the operating room.

Complications of high-energy bicondylar tibial plateau fractures treated with dual plating through 2 incisions.

Objectives: To characterize the rate of complications after operative fixation of bicondylar (OTA/AO 41-C) tibial plateau fractures and to evaluate the contribution of common risk factors.

Design: Retrospective review.
