Background: Few population-based studies have evaluated the epidemiology of infective endocarditis (IE). Changes in population demographics and guidelines on IE may have affected both the incidence and outcomes of IE. Therefore, the aim of our study is to provide contemporary population-based epidemiological data of IE in Spain.

Background: Some skin diseases may modify epidermal barrier function. Psoriasis is a chronic multi-systemic inflammatory disease that affects the epidermal barrier. Phototherapy is an option for treating psoriasis, but little is known about how epidermal barrier function is modified by phototherapy in psoriatic patients.

For health care professionals and users, it can thus be difficult to determine the most appropriate app for given needs and assess the level of scientific evidence supporting their use. Therefore, this review aims to examine the research studies that deal with this issue and determine the characteristics of the apps involved.
