A five-month-old alpaca cria presented with a history of abdominal pain, dysuria, and a recurring rectal prolapse. An ultrasonographic examination indicated a urachal abscess attached to the urinary bladder. The abscess was removed surgically, and the patient had an adequate recovery after the procedure and ancillary treatment.

The gross post-mortem examination of the steer conducted at the feedlot identified numerous masses within the abdomen and thorax, including a large mass in the liver that eroded into the vena cava. Many masses in the lungs appeared to be the result of hematogenous distribution.
