Rehabilitation of the Worn Dentition With Direct and Indirect Minimally Invasive Concepts-A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

Objective: To report and compare the survival of minimally invasive direct and indirect restorations of different materials for restoring the worn dentition.

Material And Methods: A systematic search was conducted in six databases: MEDLINE, Web of Science, Scopus, CENTRAL, VHL, and EMBASE. The eligibility criteria of this systematic review used the PICO framework to address the following research question: "In dentate patients with a worn dentition (P), does rehabilitating their lost tooth structure with indirect restorations (I) or direct (C) effect the survival and success of treatment (O)?".

The adjunctive use of systemic antibiotics in the non-surgical and surgical treatment of peri-implantitis: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Purpose: To evaluate the additional benefits of the adjunctive use of systemic antibiotics in the non-surgical and surgical treatment of peri-implantitis.

Materials And Methods: A systematic search following the population, intervention, comparison, outcome and study design framework was conducted across the MEDLINE (via PubMed), Embase and Web of Science databases. The primary outcome was probing depth reduction, and the secondary outcomes were bleeding on probing, clinical attachment level, radiographic bone level changes, suppuration and clinical success.

Tensile Bond Strength, Fit Accuracy and Failure Types of Zirconia and Cast Gold Root Copings for Overdentures.

Aim: To compare the tensile strength, dislodgement forces, marginal gap and failure types between digitally fabricated zirconia root copings and conventionally manufactured cast gold root copings.

Methods: Extracted human teeth (N=30) were prepared for the root copings and randomly divided into 2 groups: (1)zirconia root copings(ZC) and gold root copings(GC). The specimens were tested for tensile bond strength and dislodgement forces in a universal testing machine and the types of the coping failures modes were analyzed.

Importance of an Evaluation Phase When Increasing the Occlusal Vertical Dimension: A Systematic Review.

Objective: To assess whether an evaluation period is necessary for patient and clinical success when increasing the occlusal vertical dimension (OVD) for a full mouth rehabilitation.

Materials And Methods: A systematic search was conducted in six databases: MEDLINE, Web of Science, Scopus, CENTRAL, VHL, and EMBASE. The eligibility criteria of this systematic review used the PICO framework to address the following research question: "In dentate adults requiring an increase in occlusal vertical dimension (OVD) (P), is an evaluation period of the new OVD (I) superior to no evaluation period (C) in terms of success (O)?" Study characteristics, survival, and success rates were extracted from each article.
