Background And Objective: Fexofenadine is commonly used as a probe substrate to assess P-glycoprotein (Pgp) activity. While its use in healthy volunteers is well documented, data in older adult and polymorbid patients are lacking. Age- and disease-related physiological changes are expected to affect the pharmacokinetics of fexofenadine.

Federal partners supported SARS-CoV-2 testing scale-up through an interagency-coordinated approach that focused on expanding supply chains, research and development, validation, and improving patient access. We aimed to provide an overview of the federal efforts to scale up the testing response and study the impact of scale-up.

Objective: This study aimed to analyse the relationship between cultural competence, the nursing work environment, and the delivery of culturally congruent care in multicultural units of a healthcare organisation in Portugal.
Method: This was a quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional study, targeting nurses from multicultural units.
Background: Currently, there is a global shortage of nurses, which has a negative impact on health institutions, mainly on the quality of care provided. The quality of nursing care depends on several factors, including the nursing practice environment, which has been stated as a fundamental element for the successful functioning of health systems. Scientific evidence shows that favorable practice environments contribute to nurse retention, and unfavorable environments increase nurses' turnover intention.

It has been observed, primarily in vitro, that dexamethasone induces the expression of CYP3A and the ABCB1 gene, which encodes P-glycoprotein (P-gp). This has raised concerns about potential interactions between DEX and substrates of CYP3A and P-gp, such as direct oral anticoagulants (DOAC).
