Falls are common in mountain biking (MTB), and often involve high speeds, large descent heights, and rough landing terrains. However, most falls in MTB do not cause serious injury. This may be due, in part, to protective movements used by MTB riders to avoid injury.

Standardized sedation protocols, extubation readiness testing, and noninvasive respiratory support are used to improve efficient liberation from mechanical ventilation (MV). We therefore aimed to review EF rates, time to failure, and the use of noninvasive respiratory support after extubation, 2017-2021.

A collaboration between the Office of COE and the Office of Cancer Research Training and Education Coordination (CRTEC) at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Jefferson led to the COE-CRTEC Trainee Working Group, a unique program in which trainees in cancer research each created a novel COE initiative.
Methods: Four cancer research trainees were selected to serve as COE Program Liaisons (CPLs), each aligned with one of the four cancer center research programs.
Mirodenafil is a phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5) inhibitor with high specificity for its target and good blood-brain barrier permeability. The drug, which is currently used for treatment of erectile dysfunction, reduces Aβ and pTau levels and improves cognitive function in mouse models of Alzheimer's disease. In the present study, we investigated the effect of mirodenafil in the transient and permanent middle cerebral artery occlusion (tMCAO and pMCAO) models of stroke in rats.
