The plasma concentrations of acyl CoA binding protein (ACBP) encoded by the gene diazepam binding inhibitor (DBI) are increased in patients with severe osteoarthritis (OA). Here, we show that knee OA induces a surge in plasma ACBP/DBI in mice subjected to surgical destabilization of one hind limb. Knockout of the Dbi gene or intraperitoneal (i.

No previous experimental TCS data have been found for comparison. Electron attachment resonances, corresponding to transient negative ion formation, have been identified for energies below 20 eV by analyzing their contribution to the measured local maxima of the TCSs.

This study explores aortic disease, musculoskeletal and organ findings in patients with KOA in relation to their symptoms or radiographic abnormalities. Full body computed tomography (CT) scans of 255 IMI-APPROACH participants were investigated using an automated analysis of multislice CT (Voronoi Health Analytics) that extracts aortic size and calcifications, and volumes and densities of bones, muscles, fat compartments and thoracic and abdominal organs.

Mycobacterium bovis is the primary causative agent of bTB and is closely related to Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the pathogen responsible for human TB. Despite their limitations, mouse models are invaluable in early vaccine development due to their genetic diversity, cost-effectiveness, and the availability of research tools.
