CustOmized versus standard fundal-height measuREments for the detection of small-for-gestational age fetuses in low-risk women (CORE study): A randomized controlled trial.

Objective: To compare the proportion of small-for-gestational age (SGA) infants detected by routine care versus a growth assessment protocol using customized fundal-height charts in low-risk pregnancies of a developing country.

Methods: An open label randomized controlled trial was conducted at the Fatima Memorial Hospital (NUR International University, Pakistan). Low-risk pregnant women were randomly allocated to routine care (Mcdonald's rule for fundal height measurements followed by referral for scan with discrepancy of 3 cm from gestational age and a contingency third trimester scan) or the growth assessment protocol (GAP) developed by the Perinatal Institute (UK), which consists of the use of gestation-related optimal weight (GROW) customized charts, alongside management protocols for suspected SGA fetuses, audit tools and training.

In Situ Transmission Electron Microscopy of Electrocatalyst Materials: Proposed Workflows, Technical Advances, Challenges, and Lessons Learned.

In situ electrochemical liquid phase transmission electron microscopy (LP-TEM) measurements utilize micro-chip three-electrode cells with electron transparent silicon nitride windows that confine the liquid electrolyte. By imaging electrocatalysts deposited on micro-patterned electrodes, LP-TEM provides insight into morphological, phase structure, and compositional changes within electrocatalyst materials under electrochemical reaction conditions, which have practical implications on activity, selectivity, and durability. Despite LP-TEM capabilities becoming more accessible, in situ measurements under electrochemical reaction conditions remain non-trivial, with challenges including electron beam interactions with the electrolyte and electrode, the lack of well-defined experimental workflows, and difficulty interpreting particle behavior within a liquid.

Perceived Shame and Stigma, and Other Psychosocial Predictors of Psychological Distress Among Cancer Patients in Malaysia.

Background: Patients' sociodemographic factors, clinical characteristics, distress factors, perceived shame and stigma may give rise to psychological distress in cancer patients that bring about further psychosocial impact.

Aims: (1) to determine the degrees of shame and stigma towards cancer and psychological distress among cancer patients in Malaysia and (2) to examine the clinical and psychosocial predictors of psychological distress.

Methods: This cross-sectional study recruited a total of 217 cancer patients.
