HLA class II neoantigen presentation for CD4 T cell surveillance in HLA class II-negative colorectal cancer.

Neoantigen-reactive CD4 T cells play a key role in the anti-tumor immune response. However, the majority of epithelial tumors are negative for HLA class II (HLA-II) surface expression, and less is known about the processing of HLA-II antigens. Here, we directly identified naturally presented HLA-II neoantigens in HLA-II negative colorectal cancer (CRC) tissue using a proteogenomic approach.

Identification of immunogenic HLA class I and II neoantigens using surrogate immunopeptidomes.

Neoantigens arising from somatic mutations are tumor specific and induce antitumor host T cell responses. However, their sequences are individual specific and need to be identified for each patient for therapeutic applications. Here, we present a proteogenomic approach for neoantigen identification, named Neoantigen Selection using a Surrogate Immunopeptidome (NESSIE).

Insect pests are the main threats to common bean production, and this article focuses on the soybean looper (SL) (Walker, 1858) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), which feeds on leaves and pods.

A New Perspective on the Co-Transmission of Plant Pathogens by Hemipterans.

Co-infection of plants by pathogens is common in nature, and the interaction of the pathogens can affect the infection outcome. There are diverse ways in which viruses and bacteria are transmitted from infected to healthy plants, but insects are common vectors. The present review aims to highlight key findings of studies evaluating the co-transmission of plant pathogens by insects and identify challenges encountered in these studies.

Diverse non-crop vegetation assemblages as banker plants for predatory mites in strawberry crop.

Non-crop plant diversity plays a fundamental role in the conservation of predatory mite (PM) and can be proposed as a banker plant system (BPS). BPSs provide plants that host natural enemies in greenhouses or field crops and may improve the efficiency of biological control. The aim of this study was to investigate if a diverse plant composition could be a suitable BPS for PMs in strawberry crops.
