The History of Rare Bleeding Disorders.

Deficiencies in coagulation factors I (FI), FII, FV, combined FV and FVIII (CF5F8) and vitamin K-dependent coagulation factors FVII, FX, FXI, and FXIII have been referred to as rare bleeding disorders (RBDs), rare coagulation factor deficiencies (RCFDs), or recessively inherited coagulation disorders. Fibrinogen was most likely the first member of this group to be identified, with reports of its discovery spanning from 1859 to 1966. If not, then the first coagulation factor to be identified was prothrombin in 1894, and the last coagulation factor to be found was FX in 1956, about 60 years later.

Clinical significance of Talin-1 and HER-2 status in different types of gastric carcinoma.

Background: Talin-1 (TLN1) is crucial in cell migration, metastasis, and cancer development. This study evaluated Talin-1 expression and its clinical significance in gastric cancer (GC), along with human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER-2) expression and its correlation with Talin-1.

The renowned van der Waals (VDW) state equation quantifies the equilibrium relationship between the pressure , volume , and temperature kBT of a real gas. We assign new variable interpretations adapted to the economic context: P→Y, representing price; V→X, representing demand; and kBT→κ, representing income, to describe an economic state equilibrium. With this reinterpretation, the price elasticity of demand (PED) and the income elasticity of demand (YED) are non-constant factors and may exhibit a singularity of the cusp-catastrophe type.

Optimization of cerium-based metal-organic framework synthesis for maximal sonophotocatalytic tetracycline degradation.

Wastewater treatment is inevitably required to alleviate the pollution of water resources by various contaminants such as antibiotics. MOFs are novel materials with photocatalytic activities. In this study, sonophotocatalytic degradation of tetracycline (TC) by the Cerium-based MOF (Ce-MOF) is optimized by modification of its synthesis route.

The Impact of Loving-Kindness Meditation on Job-Related Burnout of Nurses Working in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit: A Randomized Clinical Trial Study.

Job-related burnout is one health outcome in nurses working in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) due to the heavy workload, which results in negative physical and psychological consequences. One newly introduced approach to improve coping is loving-kindness meditation (LKM). Some studies have shown the effectiveness of the LKM on the mental health of nurses, though more evidence is required to support them.
