Epidemiological and Radiomorphometric Aspects of the Accessory Mental Foramen in Brazilian Individuals: An Analysis by Cone Beam Computed Tomography.

Background: The accessory mental foramen is characterized by small foramina in the surrounding area of the mental foramen with communication with the mandibular canal. The aim of this research was to evaluate epidemiological and radiomorphometric aspects of the accessory mental foramen (AMF) using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) in Brazilian individuals.
Material And Methods: This was a cross-sectional, quantitative, retrospective descriptive study with 250 CBCT scans of dentate individuals in the anterior mandibular region, aged between 18 and 69 years.

In this sense, this work aims to characterize and evaluate the mechanical and thermal performances of biocomposites manufactured from a thermoplastic matrix of high-density bioethylene and obtained from ethanol produced from sugarcane and reinforced with organophilic montmorillonite clay.

- Results showed that the experimental MDLE extender led to a significant decline in sperm motility and vigor, while increasing pH and sperm defects, becoming less effective than the commercial extender.
- Despite these drawbacks, the MDLE extender maintained sufficient sperm quality for up to 15 minutes at room temperature, suggesting it may be a viable alternative, but it is not as effective as the commercial option.
