Viral metagenomic studies have enabled the discovery of many unknown viruses and revealed that viral communities are much more diverse and ubiquitous than previously thought. Some viruses have multiple genome components that are encapsidated either in separate virions (multipartite viruses) or in the same virion (segmented viruses). In this study, we identify what is possibly a novel bipartite plant-associated circular single-stranded DNA virus in a wild prickly pear cactus, , that is endemic to the Chaco ecoregion in South America.

Methods: A retrospective clinical study and blinded radiological review of adult patients with VO.
Results: Eighty-eight patients were included: 57 (65%) had a definitive diagnosis of VO (positive microbiology), and 31 (35%) had a probable diagnosis of VO.
Impaired social cognition has been claimed to be a mechanism underlying the development and maintenance of borderline personality disorder (BPD). One important aspect of social cognition is the theory of mind (ToM), a complex skill that seems to be influenced by more basic processes, such as executive functions (EF) and emotion recognition.
