Water temperature is a vital parameter impacting the growth and survival of aquatic life. Using satellite-derived infrared data, this study analysed the trend of sea surface temperature (SST) from 2008 to 2022 of the Adriatic coastal waters of Italian regions. The "Mediterranean Sea High Resolution and Ultra High Resolution Sea Surface Temperature Analysis" product collected from the Copernicus Marine Service of European Copernicus programme was used, as a good compromise among spatial accuracy, temporal frequency and coverage.

Citizen science has been particularly effective in gathering reliable, timely, large-scale data on the presence and distributions of animal species, including mosquito vectors of human and zoonotic pathogens. This involves the participation of citizen scientists in research projects, with success strongly dependent on the capacity to disseminate project information and engage citizen scientists to contribute their time. Mosquito Alert is a citizen science that aids in the system surveillances of vector mosquitoes.

Background: Outbreaks of Aedes-borne diseases in temperate areas are not frequent, and limited in number of cases. We investigate the associations between habitat factors and temperature on individuals' risk of chikungunya (CHIKV) in a non-endemic area by spatially analyzing the data from the 2017 Italian outbreak.

Methodology/principal Findings: We adopted a case-control study design to analyze the association between land-cover variables, temperature, and human population density with CHIKV cases.

Objective: We aimed to assess the prognostic value of preoperative ultrasound tumor size in EC through a single center, observational, retrospective, cohort study.

Methods: Medical records and electronic clinical databases were searched for all consecutive patients with EC, preoperative ultrasound scans available to estimate tumor size, and a follow-up of at least 2-year, at our Institution from January 2010 to June 2018. Patients were divided into two groups based on different dimensional cut-offs for the maximum tumor diameter: 2, 3 and 4 cm.

Objective: To evaluate the changes in (1) residual myometrial thickness (RMT), (2) cesarean scar defect (CSD) size, and (3) clinical symptoms, before and after channel-like (360°) hysteroscopic resection for the treatment of CSD.

Methods: A single-center, observational, prospective, cohort study was carried out enrolling all symptomatic patients of childbearing age, diagnosed with CSD and routinely scheduled for channel-like (360°) hysteroscopic resection from July 2020 to July 2021 at the Division of Gynecology and Human Reproduction Physiopathology, Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences, IRCCS Azienda Ospedaliero-Univeristaria di Bologna. University of Bologna, Italy.
