Introduction: Tinnitus is one of the symptoms of presbycusis that affects patients' sleep and social life. This study aimed to determine the effect of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) on treating tinnitus due to presbycusis.
Materials And Methods: In this double-blind, randomized clinical trial, 50 patients with tinnitus due to presbycusis were randomly divided into groups A and B, with 25 patients in each group.
In this paper, the photonic crystal fiber sensor based on the geometry of hyperbolic black holes is proposed. As the hyperbolic black hole concentrates the electromagnetic radiation in its powerful gravitational field, the designed sensor has resulted in the concentration of the most electromagnetic field in the core of fiber. The extraordinary sensitivity of the sensor is due to the topology and exact geometry, which originates from the idea of the black hole.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the association between dietary Total Antioxidant Capacity (d-TAC) and sarcopenia in elderly adults.
Methods: In this cross-sectional study we enrolled 300 elderly people (150 men and 150 women) aged ≥ 55 years using cluster random sampling method.
The formation of red discolorations ('blood stains') on the Turin Shroud (TS), a Christian relic believed to be the burial cloth of Jesus of Nazareth, is controversially discussed. We performed experiments to identify possible explanations for the formation of the stains on the hands and forearms of the Turin Shroud Man (TSM). In preliminary non-standardised experiments, after applying blood to the dorsal and palmar side of the probands' wrists, they moved their arms around at their own discretion to provoke blood flows as similar as possible to those on the TS.

The aim of the present study was to evaluate the preventive effects of coenzyme Q10 (Q10), as a mitochondrial-targeted antioxidant in CI-AKI in diabetic patients, who account for a large proportion of angiographic cases. A total of 118 diabetic patients were randomly assigned to receive 120 mg of oral coenzyme Q10 (Q10 group) or placebo (Placebo group) for four days, starting 24 hours before contrast media injection.
