Those with ASD are commonly deficient in endogenous cannabinoid signaling and GABAergic tone. CBD has a complex pharmacodynamic profile that includes enhancing GABA and endocannabinoid signaling.

CBD's popularity is also increasing among children and adolescents who are being administered CBD, off label, for the treatment of numerous symptoms associated with autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, and depression. The relative recency of its use in the adolescent population has precluded investigation of its impact on the developing brain and the potential consequences that may present in adulthood.

Fabrication and Qualitative Analysis of an Optical Fibre EFPI-Based Temperature Sensor.

The following presents a comparison of an extrinsic Fabry-Perot interferometer (EFPI)-based temperature sensor, constructed using a novel diaphragm manufacturing technique, with a reference all-glass EFPI temperature sensor. The novel diaphragm was manufactured using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). The novel sensor fabrication involved fusing a single-mode fibre (SMF) to a length of fused quartz capillary, which has an inner diameter of 132 μm and a 220 μm outer diameter.

Hyperphosphataemic tumoral calcinosis in Bedouin Arabs--clinical and radiological features.

In the first report of Bedouin Arabs with tumoral calcinosis, three Saudi Arabian male siblings and their female first cousin with the condition are described. In tumoral calcinosis the majority of cases are familial. These patients had associated hyperphosphataemia with normal renal function.

Case report: spinal extradural haematoma in haemophilia-A--a diagnosis not to be missed.

A child with severe haemophilia-A is reported who developed an extensive spinal extradural haematoma. He was successfully treated with intensive replacement therapy after attempted surgical decompression failed. The importance of early diagnosis is stressed and the potential value of magnetic resonance imaging for monitoring haematoma maturity is discussed.
