Article Synopsis
  • Recent developments in natural language processing aim to aid psychiatric diagnosis by analyzing the history of present illness (HPI), overcoming limitations of prior studies that often focused on a few major disorders or small sample sizes.
  • The research involved extracting HPIs and diagnostic information from 2,642 cases at a Japanese hospital and utilizing a specialized model (UTH-BERT) to predict diagnoses, comparing it against actual psychiatrist evaluations.
  • The model achieved a diagnosis match rate of 74.3%, outperforming semi-experienced and novice psychiatrists, suggesting its potential use as a diagnostic tool in clinical settings.

Coplanar polychlorinated biphenyls (Co-PCBs) consisting of non-ortho and mono-ortho-chlorinated PCBs are dioxin-like compounds and cause wide contamination in the environment. To monitor Co-PCB residues, it was attempted to establish an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) with monoclonal and recombinant antibodies selective to Co-PCBs. When 3,3',5,5'-tetrachlorobiphenoxybutyric acid (PCBH)-keyhole limpet hemocyanin conjugate was immunized into mice, two monoclonal antibodies, Mab-0217 and Mab-4444, were obtained.

We report a case of disease -free survival with combination chemotherapy against squamous cell carcinoma(SCC)of an unknown primary. A 54-year-old male had an intraabdominal malignant lymph node tumor beside the common hepatic artery which was revealed by image studies including CT, MRI and PET-CT. After extirpation of the tumor, the resected specimens were diagnosed as metastatic SCC in the lymph nodes by pathology and immunohistochemistry.

ATEG_08451 in Aspergillus terreus, here named atrochrysone carboxylic acid synthase (ACAS), is a nonreducing, iterative type I polyketide synthase that contains no thioesterase domain. In vitro, reactions of ACAS with malonyl-CoA yielded a polyketide intermediate, probably attached to its acyl carrier protein (ACP). The addition of ATEG_08450, here named atrochrysone carboxyl ACP thioesterase (ACTE), to the reaction resulted in the release of products derived from atrochrysone carboxylic acid, such as atrochrysone and endocrocin.
