Purpose: the aim of the present study is to analyse the composition of the currently available topical antiseptic products and the related scientific evidence, and to discuss the implications of their use in the prevention of endophthtalmitis.
Methods: products available on the market until February 2024 were considered. Information provided on the illustration leaflet of each product were analysed.
Efficient drug delivery is crucial for glaucoma patients. Flexible biomedical devices that enable sustained ocular drug delivery and can regulate the drug release rate according to physiological conditions are highly desirable for glaucoma treatments, addressing both low drug bioavailability and poor patient compliance from manual drug administration, and improving treatment outcomes. Inspired by the structure and reciprocating motion of fish dorsal fins, a drug-eluting contact lens based on deformable microstructures for non-invasive ocular surface drug delivery is developed.

Herein, we use model catalysts of CuO-cub, CuO-oct and CuO-dod with crystal planes of (100), (111) and (110), respectively, to investigate the O activity and catalytic oxidation of toluene. The activity of CuO-oct is found to be the highest, followed by CuO-cub and CuO-dod.

This soft structure, capable of independent and cooperative motion, can be manipulated through the programming of bits using a machine language based on instruction encoding. This method simplifies the process of changing the bit's step temperature to control its binary state.
