Background: The relationship between serum calcium (Ca) level to serum parathyroid hormone (PTH), phosphorus (P) levels and tissue properties of the parathyroid gland is unknown in primary hyperparathyroidism cases. Revealing this relationship may be useful for understanding the etiopathogenesis of primary hyperparathyroidism and determining the time of treatment.
Methods: Ninety patients (71 females, 19 males, age range; 27-73 years, average age; 46) who underwent single gland excision with the diagnosis of primary hyperparathyroidism were studied.
The objective of our study was to investigate the possible relationship between poor perinatal outcome and foetal cardiac functions in pregnant women with reduced foetal movements (RFM). This cross-sectional study included 126 pregnant women with normal foetal movements (Group 1, Controls) and 42 pregnant women over 32 weeks gestation with RFM (Group 2). Group 2 was further divided into two subgroups according to their perinatal outcome: normal perinatal outcome (Group 2a) and poor perinatal outcome (Group 2b).

Patients And Method: We included 154 participants, divided into four groups in a cross-sectional study design. The first group includes patients with T2DM without complications (n=30), the second group patients with T2DM with microvascular complications (T2DM-noC n=32), the third group patients with T2DM with macrovascular complications, T2DM-MV (n=32) and the last group is the healthy control group (n=60).
Background: Liver transplantation (LT) is an important treatment for acute liver failure and end-stage liver disease. Due to the limited supply of livers, there are still thousands of candidates waiting for transplantation in Turkey. We aimed to analyze LT waiting list access by demographics and etiology, particularly the diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), which has been prioritized for LT in recent years.
