Background: To investigate the impact of decompressive chevron osteotomy on subchondral bone density at the first metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint.
Methods: Sixteen feet (12 patients) with hallux rigidus underwent decompressive chevron osteotomy. Standing cone beam 3D computed tomography (3DCT) were assessed preoperatively and at 4-month follow-up, and clinical data were collected.

- Latissimus dorsi tendon transfer (LDTT) has been shown to improve shoulder function and reduce pain over a long-term period, particularly in patients with irreparable massive rotator cuff tears, although those with fatty infiltration of certain muscles may have worse outcomes.
- This study followed 143 patients who underwent LDTT between 2004 and 2013, collecting data on complications and outcomes after a minimum of 10 years, with some patients ultimately needing further surgery (reverse shoulder arthroplasty).
- Out of the tracked patients, 101 were evaluated at an average of 12.3 years post-surgery, providing valuable long-term insights into the effectiveness of LDTT in enhancing shoulder mobility and function.
Purpose: To compare outcomes, between stemmed and stemless reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) at a minimum follow-up of 5 years.
Methods: The authors retrospectively assessed a consecutive series of 45 patients that underwent RSA between September 2014 and October 2018 (23 stemless and 22 stemmed). All patients underwent plain anteroposterior and scapular Y-view radiographs for assessment immediately post-operatively and at final follow-up.
Pyrocarbon Hemi-Shoulder Arthroplasty Provides Satisfactory Outcomes Following Prior Open Latarjet.

Purpose: To assess the clinical and radiographic outcomes, at a minimum follow-up of 4 years, following HSA using pyrocarbon in patients that had prior open Latarjet.
Methods: The authors retrieved the records of 61 consecutive patients that underwent HSA with a pyrocarbon humeral head at 2 centers between December 2013 and October 2019. Eight patients (9 shoulders) had undergone previous Latarjet procedures without other surgical antecedents.
Purpose: Recurrence of hallux valgus (HV) following corrective surgery is a frequent concern. A recent systematic review estimated recurrence of HV in only 4.9%, which may be an underestimation, as most included studies had short- to mid-term follow-up.
