From a quantum information perspective, verifying quantum coherence in a quantum experiment typically requires adjusting measurement settings or changing inputs. A paradigmatic example is that of a double-slit experiment, where observing the interference pattern on the screen in a series of experimental settings where one, the other, and both slits are open unambiguously proves quantum coherence. Here we show that this is not necessary by verifying quantum coherence in a network scenario without the need for inputs.

To evaluate the accuracy and reproducibility of measurements obtained using the Bellus3D Face Application on a mobile smartphone by comparing them to direct measurements on pre-marked and blank face scans. Twenty-five healthy young adults (six males and nineteen females; age range 20-30 years) were included in this prospective cross-sectional study, with the only exclusion criterion being the presence of significant facial hair interfering with the placement and visualization of landmarks. Image acquisitions were performed using an iPhone XR with the Bellus3D FaceApp face scanning application, an iOS application for smartphones.

Article Synopsis
  • - Incarcerated women face severe health risks, particularly high rates of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) like HPV, which can lead to serious complications in the female reproductive system.
  • - A study of 299 women in a São Paulo prison found a 62.2% prevalence of HPV, with a significant percentage of high-risk strains, along with a 72.8% prevalence of other STIs, indicating a critical public health issue.
  • - The findings suggest that there is a need for enhanced health policies in Brazil targeting female prisoners, including better screening and treatment strategies to reduce STI incidence and prevent cervical cancer.

Importance: There are suggestions that school pressure may be stressful and a factor in child and adolescent mental health disturbances, but data about this association are scarce and inconclusive.

Objective: To assess whether varying degrees of school interruption were associated with changes in emergency department (ED) psychiatric visits of children and adolescents before and after the COVID-19 outbreak.

Design, Setting, And Participants: A cross-sectional observational study was conducted at 9 urban university hospitals in Italy.

We investigated the role of saccades and microsaccades when different levels of basketball players were engaged in an ecological free-throw condition. All participants made more correct than incorrect shoots, with a movement time initiation shorter in amateurs than in near-expert groups. Near-experts had more stable gaze fixation than amateurs, with higher microsaccade rate and duration and lower peak velocity.
