Objetivo: En respuesta a la creciente amenaza de riesgos pandémicos y la reciente experiencia de la pandemia de Covid-19, la UNAM a través del PUIREE convocó a un análisis multidisciplinario para identificar y priorizar acciones esenciales para la respuesta ante pandemias en México. Material y métodos. Se utilizó el método estructurado de comunicación y análisis Delphi y se presentó a los expertos en salud y vida un cuestionario; en tres reuniones se realizaron discusiones sobre las acciones que debería contener un plan de preparación y respuesta pandémica para México.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe context for this review is the rapid increase in the use of non-nutritive sweeteners (NNSs) instead of sugar in foods and beverages, a situation so prevalent in some countries that consumers are finding it increasingly challenging to access foods without NNSs. The benefits of consuming NNSs on obesity and diabetes are now being questioned, and studies have shown that they may exert physiological activities, sometimes independently of sweet taste receptor stimulation. Few studies, limited mainly to North American and European countries, have described the consumption of NNSs by pregnant or lactating women and infants.

Objective: this study determines the association of children´s nutritional status and body composition with the results of the 6MWT. Methods: a sample of 1419 Chilean children, 4 to 10 years of age, were assessed including anthropometry, body composition by validated equations, the 6MWT test, and in 50 % of the sample heart rate prior the test, at one minute into the test, and at one minute posttest with a Polar watch.

NADH2 sequence data indicate that these specimens are not conspecific with those currently referred to as Z. chilensis from Chile and, in fact, represent a novel cryptic species.
