Loss to follow-up among adults with drug-resistant TB in Papua New Guinea.

Setting: Multidrug-resistant/rifampicin-resistant TB (MDR/RR-TB) is now endemic in the National Capital District (NCD), Papua New Guinea. Loss to follow-up (LTFU) is a challenge.

Objective: To evaluate and identify risk factors for LTFU, including pre-treatment LTFU, in adults with MDR/RR-TB at Port Moresby General Hospital (PMGH).

Antimicrobial resistance is recognized as a potent threat to human health. Wastewater treatment facilities are viewed as hotspots for the spread of antimicrobial resistance. This study provides comprehensive data on the occurrences of 3 different antibiotic resistant opportunistic pathogens (with resistance to up to 5 antibiotics), 13 antibiotic resistant genes and intI1, and 22 different antimicrobial residues in a large water reclamation plant (176 million gallons per day) that runs a conventional Modified Ludzack-Ettinger (MLE) reactor followed by a secondary settling tank (SST) and membrane bioreactor (MBR) in parallel.

Methods of payment for oral health care in Yaoundé.

Payment for dental services is one of the key determinants of treatment options, access to health care, and treatment decisions. The ability to pay for services directly affects the quality of life of an individual and also their accessibility to oral health services. The aim of the present study was to identify the different methods of payment used to obtain oral health care in Yaoundé, Cameroon This was a cross-sectional descriptive study carried out in selected dental clinics in Yaoundé using convenient sampling between January 2021 and June 2021.

Discoid lateral meniscus instability in children: part I. A new grading system of instability to clarify natural history.

Objective: In young patients, the discoid lateral meniscus (DLM) usually becomes symptomatic at the time of peripheral rim instability of a complete discoid form. However, little is known about the natural history of meniscal instability. The aim was to detect hidden forms of presentation of instability using the history and clinical mechanical symptoms of instability.

[Evaluation of practices through simulation: Implementation of Horror Week in a cytotoxic preparation unit].

Objectives: The objective of this work is to describe the interest of developing a simulation for the evaluation and improvement of practices through the realization of a horror week in a cytotoxic preparation unit.

Methods: The simulation was divided into five days, each corresponding to a step in the cytotoxic circuit. Five errors per day were produced and presented to the team in a dedicated room.
