This scoping review aims to summarize current research to assess the impact of heating on the chemo-physical properties of bioceramic sealers. Following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) Extension for Scoping Reviews guidelines, a comprehensive literature search was conducted in April 2024 across PubMed and Scopus databases. Inclusion criteria referred to all study types evaluating the effect of heating temperature on bioceramic sealers' properties, with no language or time restrictions applied.

Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to compare the cyclic fatigue resistance of three different nickel-titanium dental instruments in both single and double-curved canals at two temperature settings: room temperature (20°C) and body temperature (35°C).
  • The results showed that all instruments, except for HEDM #20.05 in double curvature, had a significant decrease in fatigue resistance at body temperature, and that they performed worse in double-curved canals compared to single-curved ones.
  • Notably, the VDW.ROTATE #20.05 was the only file that didn't follow the trend of reduced resistance in double curvature at 35°C, indicating some variations in performance across different instruments and conditions.
