Educational robotics for science and mathematics teaching: Analysis of pre-service teachers' perceptions and self-confidence.

Educational Robotics has had an important impact in recent years as it offers a number of advantages for students. The inclusion of robotics in any educational stage requires teachers with adequate predisposition and training, making it necessary to know the opinions of pre-service teachers. The aim of our study is to analyze the perceptions and self-confidence of 109 pre-service primary education teachers before and after an intervention based on educational robotics and challenge-based learning to teach scientific and mathematical content, in their third academic year.

Influence of Selective Deoxyfluorination on the Molecular Structure of Type-2 -Acetyllactosamine.

-Acetyllactosamine is a common saccharide motif found in various biologically active glycans. This motif usually works as a backbone for additional modifications and thus significantly influences glycan conformational behavior and biological activity. In this work, we have investigated the type-2 -acetyllactosamine scaffold using the complete series of its monodeoxyfluorinated analogs.

Evolution of human H3N2 influenza virus receptor specificity has substantially expanded the receptor-binding domain site.

Hemagglutinins (HAs) from human influenza viruses descend from avian progenitors that bind α2-3-linked sialosides and must adapt to glycans with α2-6-linked sialic acids on human airway cells to transmit within the human population. Since their introduction during the 1968 pandemic, H3N2 viruses have evolved over the past five decades to preferentially recognize human α2-6-sialoside receptors that are elongated through addition of poly-LacNAc. We show that more recent H3N2 viruses now make increasingly complex interactions with elongated receptors while continuously selecting for strains maintaining this phenotype.

The Promotion of Healthy Hydration Habits through Educational Robotics in University Students.

In recent years, there has been a lack of healthy lifestyle habits in the population, including hydration, with negative consequences for health. At the same time, advances in technology have changed the process of teaching and learning since elementary school, highlighting the incorporation of educational robots as innovative resources in recent years. This study analyzes the state of the scientific knowledge presented by university students doing a university degree in Primary Education after a robotics-based educational intervention.
