Three catch crop species, ryegrass, forage rape and black oat, were grown between successive rotations of maize to reduce nitrogen leaching due to maize fertilization with digested dairy manure. Catch crops showed a high nutrient uptake, but with a wide range, depending on the year and the specie. Ensiling was shown to be a feasible storing method increasing catch crop methane production per hectare between 14-36% compared with fresh catch crop.

Using a Mixed-Methods Approach to Analyze Traumatic Experiences and Factors of Vulnerability Among Adolescent Victims of Bullying.

A number of studies have analyzed the bullying phenomenon among adolescent victims. Relatively few studies, however, have specifically addressed the associated post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Our clinical practice and therapeutic encounters with adolescents reveal that the majority of bullied adolescents suffer from high levels of PTSD.

A Psychoanalytical Approach to Diogenes Syndrome.

This article is an attempt at a psychoanalytic understanding of Diogenes syndrome, or hoarding disorder syndrome, by way of a clinical case. This syndrome is characterized by a failure to attend to proper housing habits, including the hoarding of rubbish that may, in fact, create unsuitable, even dangerous, living conditions. The clinical case used suggests that Diogenes syndrome or hoarding disorder reflects or indicates an extreme form of obsessive neurosis involving libidinal regressions to anal fixations designed, paradoxically, to satisfy both a passion for dirty and for order.
